OkCupid has a wide variety of questions you can answer to get you closer to your ideal mate. After you answer, they have you rank the importance of the topic at hand, in terms of relationship dealbreakers. I marked most as low importance - the above question, however, topped my list of things that matter.
OkCupid Joel and I chat via the site for a solid week, covering Krusty the Klown, disintegrating knowledge, occupations, and so much more. He seems smart and witty. Plus he likes my blog. (The road to my heart may or may not be very clearly marked.)
We then text for the next week leading up to our date.
He suggests Piccolo Paradiso or Carson House. We decide on the latter, mostly because I had yet to check it out – mostly because I had no idea it existed.
What it looks like online and what it looks life in real life are slightly different. The same could be said for OkCupid Joel, whom I had built up as tall and broad-shouldered in my mind. As I tend to do with most men. Can’t blame a 5’11” girl for a little wishful thinking?
He's clever and intelligent, and we make the most of the surprisingly fratastic atmosphere, but I'm definitely feeling a friend vibe here.
Love new friends. Hate how tired I am. And how scratchy my already-raspy voice has gotten from all this drinking. Can I tap out of this experiment for a quick trip to Promises?
